Riskometer, in brief

Understanding the riskometer

Every mutual fund scheme in India carries a riskometer — a six-level scale from Low to Very High — shown in the Scheme Information Document and factsheet. It reflects the scheme's current risk level and can change over time; always check the latest riskometer before investing or adding to an existing SIP.

Low to Low-to-Moderate

Typically overnight, liquid and short-duration debt funds.

Moderate to Moderately High

Typically hybrid and some longer-duration debt categories.

High to Very High

Typically equity, sectoral, thematic and small/mid-cap categories.
